The Alcaston is a model we've had made for us by Crockett & Jones, displaying the dapper feature of a full-width penny strap. That is probably the only time we've ever used the word dapper in 12 years. That's the second time, and last. Compared to a normal penny loafer the Alcaston is a little more relaxed in appearance but also maybe a little smarter looking. It's a matter of taste and how you dress. We have had them made to Handgrade spec, and three different materials: Black calf, chocolate suede, and hatch grain dark brown cordovan. These each make for very different looks and purposes.
